Letter: Abortion, same-sex marriage rights threatened – Yahoo News

Typing on a keyboard

I support a woman’s right to choose. I am afraid that Roe v. Wade is in jeopardy. I am opposed to overturning Roe v. Wade because it will deprive low income and minority women access to reproductive health care.

I do not think that abortion is anyone’s business. It is a medical procedure and should be between the woman and her family. The government should not be involved with telling women what they can, and cannot do, with their own bodies. Moreover, the government does not need to be in the business of protecting the unborn. Unborn fetuses are pieces of tissue and therefore not human beings.

What also makes me afraid of the SCOTUS overturning Roe v. Wade is they will then argue against same-sex marriage. Same-sex marriage and abortion are not creating problems in this country. Let people live how they want to live and let women do what they want with their own bodies. It is no one else’s business.
